Methods & Approaches

  • Today’s ABA

Refers to an exceptional approach in applied behavior analysis that addresses challenging behavior, developed by Dr. Gregory Hanley and colleagues. The approach is characterized by strong, positive, and trusting relationships, compassionate care, assent-based treatment, and trauma-informed practices and strategies for behavioral management.

  • ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps people handle tough times and focus on what matters most to them. Connect is a PSHE program inspired by ACT that teaches kids six key habits for well-being: Connecting, Challenging, Giving, Exercising, Embracing, and Self-care. DNA-v is a simple model built from ACT, designed to help young people grow and adapt by exploring, noticing, and listening to their values.

  • Precision Teaching

Precision teaching is a way to track how someone is learning by measuring how often things happen over time. It looks at both what you can see on the outside and what people feel or think on the inside, using simple charts. This helps teachers quickly spot progress and make changes so learning gets easier and faster.

  • Prosocial Facilitator

A Prosocial Facilitator helps groups work more effectively together and achieve common goals. They use the ARC Process, a straightforward, step-by-step approach to build teamwork and ensure everyone's voice is heard while keeping the group moving forward as one.
